Welcome to Mindful Mondays! I’d like to start a series of weekly blog posts (that will go for about a month) that provide tips to start your week off with calm and clarity.

Mondays often carry a reputation for being stressful, overwhelming, and a little chaotic (hence the birth of “Sunday Scaries”).

But what if we could flip the script?

What if Mondays became a day to pause, set intentions, and start the week with clarity and purpose? That’s exactly what Mindful Mondays is all about.

Each week, I’ll be sharing simple, actionable tips to help you approach your week with a calm mind and a clear focus. Whether it’s a mindfulness exercise, a productivity hack, a stress management tool, or a mindset reflection, Mindful Mondays will give you something meaningful to carry with you into the days ahead.

This series isn’t about adding more to your already-full plate; it’s about creating small, intentional shifts that lead to big changes over time. Think of it as your weekly reminder to slow down, breathe, and approach life with presence and intention.

To kick things off, here’s a quick thought for you:

The way you start your week sets the tone for everything that follows. Take a moment today to breathe deeply, set an intention, and trust that you are exactly where you need to be.

Here’s a great, short beginner’s tutorial on breathwork.  Please watch and see how simple and effective it is.

I, also, found a great guided breathwork video that is simple and effective.  She, also, incorporates a little bit of stretching while seated.  Enjoy!

If you just followed that video, you may already be enjoying the benefits of that simple breathwork session.

But here are ways breathwork can help:

  2. Lowers heart rate/blood pressure
  3. Improves sleep
  4. Improves lung function
  5. Promotes relaxation in the mind and body
